Breath of fresh air
I rarely feel compelled to write a review about a new album Ive purchased, but when an album insists upon a repeat from beginning to end this is it. Another female rnb artist with a missy elliott inspired production could fall by the wayside as not too disimilar to many others akin currently in the charts. Dont get me wrong Im a huuggggeee fan of amerie, cassie, jennifer hudson, ciara etc etc but something beautifully talented and unique about Jazmine Sullivan really makes me hope she reaches the acclaim she so deserves.

Simply put this album is a serious MUST HAVE. You're really missing out without it, I hope she will be as big as she deserves to be.

**I wrote the above without even hearing the whole album - before I actually owned the CD and now I do gee whizz, I'm blown away. Since getting it 3 days ago I've not skipped one track because I wasn't feeling it (I skipped tracks 1&2 because I've rinsed her myspace page over the past few weeks). From one night stand & a song which asks her date if he minds her switching for his best friend to a song written about domestic violence, Ms Sullivan covers so much ground with eloquence and power that I'm genuinely shocked that it's a debut album. There is no-one quite like her on the market right now, I've seen her compared to many singers - Faith Evans, Lauryn Hill etc - but to be honest she is so versatile that none of these hold true, she is so unique and I'm surprised that she's not promoted over here. I hope to follow JS in her career and pray she goes from strength to strength, she deserves to be up there with the greatest divas one day. Every track is so different and some of these ballads are so touching - In Love With Another Man & Guilty - they make me want to cry and that's what I want in an artist!! Someone to truly touch my heart**

My foolish heart-10/10 Again jazmine's voice sounds wicked on this track,i love the line when she sings i told you once,i told you twice the next time i won't be so nice,another favourite of mine

Lions,tigers and bears-10/10 This track is wicked a nice ballad sung beautifully by jazmine,a favourite of mine

Call me guilty-10/10 This track is about domestic volience,and how women get pushed over the edge

One night stand-10/10 A brillant uptempo song,another favourite of mine,i like the line if i stay the night you proberly gonna drive me insane

After the hurricane-10/10 A nice ballad,her voice sounds wicked on this track,another favourite of mine

Dream big-10/10 A wicked uptempo song about jazmine making in the industry

Live a lie-10/10 Another uptempo song,a favourite of mine,sung beautifully

Fear-10/10 A song about what jazmine fears in life like in one line she says she scared her label will drop her if her album doesn't sell
