Editorial Reviews

CD Description
Kicking off with their best known hit 'Sweet Home Alabama',this collection of the choicest tunes from southern-fried rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd showcases every side of the band's inimitable swagger. Following this with the epic 'Freebird' (complete with one of the most famous guitar solos in history) is a concise reminder of how popular the band was at its height. Other notable tracks give away the band's geographical and stylistic heritage, particularly 'Down South Junkin'' and 'Whiskey Rock A Roller', but at the forefront remainstheir instrumental prowess and knack for anthemia.

Customer Reviews

Well worth having, even today5
One of the greatest bands ever, with wonderful songs, melodies, anthems, musicianship. This album is so worth getting for anyone wanting a musical history of the band and some of their best material, but the first six albums from the original line up are all brilliant. Highly recommended.

Lynyrd Skynyrd Greatest Hits5
Without doubt the finest band ever to grace the planet. This is an excellent collection but each of their first 6 albums are real gems. They would have gone on to become a worldwide phenomenon if not for unfortunate events in october 1977.

Sweet Home3
Album has the more famous songs included that you would expect. Personally it is one of my 50/50 CDs, half brilliant, and the other half not so good.
