All round awesome pop tune - simply irresistible

Already a big hit in America, I Kissed A Girl shot to number 1 in the UK on downloads alone, weeks before this CD release was even out. It's appeal is undeniable, its catchiness undoubtable. With Katy's great vocals over a pounding, rocky backing track it's testament to hitmakers Cathy Denis and Max Martin's songwriting skills to come up with this track, a pop classic to rank up there with any of their previous successes. With obvious tinges of Kelly Clarkson, it is refreshing to have some pure pop lovliness coming out of America too as well as all the standard R&B stuff - I Kissed A Girl is a well-deserved smash hit.

You also get a great b-side in the form of the ace Jason Nevins remix. Going along the lines of his standard Rock/Dance hybrid sound, this centres around a punky guitar line, slowly building and fading in a driving synth bassline - by the time the chorus kicks in its awesome. Great version.

Chill out
Some of you may be really fed up with this song but don`t worry about it! It`s so catchy, it just sticks in your brain. If you just love this and can`t get enough of this great damn stuff, check out her album.

Not Good at all
Her voice on this song souns terrible. The first time I heard this song, I genuinely couldn't tell whether it wasa male or female singing, because HER VOICE IS SO LOW when she sings this song. Honestly! Just listen to it. Also, as well as being low, it just sounds horrible too. Just a horrible-sounding voice, that's too low for a girl.
Her follow-up song was much better, yet this was a bigger hit - Crazy!
