Onkyo HTX-22HD 5.1 system really delivers
I purchased just the Onkyo HTX-22HD 2.1 system earlier in the year and was very happy with it from looks to easy set up and then sound. Have to say that for the money it gives very good value and and a good way into the surround sound market which can quite frankly be daunting and / or expensive. Wanting good sound but not wishing to spend thousands or have a huge complicated set up I decided on the Onkyo as it seems to get good reviews for it's amps and home cinema kit.
I have now purchased the additional centre and rear speakers which were also extremely simple to install. I have to say the sound is now on a different level and combined with my Panny blu-ray player really delivers. Surround is excellent and the centre speaker really makes the lowel level speech that much clearer and negates the need for having a higher volume than is really needed. Overall I think this system is a steal and very capable indeed. I know you can get better by having seperates and more expensive amps, receivers and speakers but ultimately these cost much more and can be harder to set up. This does the job well and is thoroughly recommended.
If you have the main unit and 2.1 system then the additional speakers to take it to a 5.1 and HD sound are a no brainer.
