Manufacturer's Description

Cyborg Rumble Pad for Xbox 360 and PC

There's always been discussion among gamers about which position is best for the left analog stick on a gamepad. Some like it level with the right stick like Sony's Playstation controller; others prefer it offset to the top left corner of the pad like Microsoft's Xbox controller.

With the Cyborg Rumble Pad, you can have both. At the press of a button, you can remove the revolutionary Cyborg module (Pat. Pending) from the pad and turn it through 180º, instantly changing the configuration of the left stick and d-pad.

Now you have the flexibility to configure the pad for different games, depending on whether you prefer to use the analog stick or d-pad, or even cater for multiplayer sessions with friends who prefer different pad configurations.

Ergonomic controls for maximum comfort during extended gaming sessions, no matter how big or small your hands.

Advanced programming provided by Saitek Smart Technology (SST) software (PC only) gives you the freedom to program any part of the pad with any keyboard or mouse command in any game - even those that don't support game controllers.

Customer Reviews

Good controller, but not without flaws.3
It's a good pad-the material isn't as slippery as a standard Xbox; in fact it actually feels better put together! Buttons are smaller/further apart from each other than on standard pads (but not so far away as to being a flaw). Also, the Xbox button's light isn't nearly as large, bright and generally obnoxious as the standard pads either. The sticks are good, and the flip system for the stick/d-pad is ludicrously simple and very easy to do-you can even do it in the middle of a game without any problems!

However there are two flaws with the pad. The first is quite simply there's no wireless version, though in defence of the product it was never advertised as wireless. Also, the cable is easily over 1.5 metres long, I think about 2. Unless you've got a very large room, the lack of... er, lack of wires, isn't going to be much of an issue.

The second problem is very much more severe. With the left analogue stick, at 'extreme' angles (ie, when it's pushed all the way in a direction) you can't click the stick inwards. This is problematic in several games; I especially noticed the game in Mercanaries 2, as you push the analogue stick all the way to make sure your character runs as quickly as possible... but changing between running and walking is done via clicking the stick it.

On games that don't need you to click the stick in it's not much of an issue of course, however for games that do it's a crippling flaw that really lets an otherwise very good third party pad down. If it wasn't for this flaw I would reccomend it over the standard 360 controller pads. Here's hoping they release a mark two, because the ability to change the d-pad and left analogue stick's positions is not only an inspired idea, but executed brilliantly in this pad.

Does not work with Xbox 360 Headset1
The title sais it all.the 360 Headset plug (Original) dont fit.Since I realized this as soon as I unwrapped the controller,I haven't bothered to try it out.
