On her 2007 debut, COCO, Los Angeles, California-based singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat offers up a charming set of R&B-tinged acoustic pop. Aided by her father, veteran producer Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac), as well as multi-instrumentalist/producer Mikal Blue and vocalist/guitarist Jason Reeves, Caillat comes across as a female counterpart to fellow laid-back West Coast performer Jack Johnson, particularly on the light, easy-going number "Bubbly."

Excellent debut CD
I bought this album on impulse. I had never heard of Colbie Caillat before and I have to say 'Coco' turned out to be one of the best albums I have bought in the last 5 years. Every song on this album is great, the album is upbeat and positive and very easy to listen to over and over again. Caillat writes really good songs and she has a superb voice too.

Colbie Caillat first came to the worlds attention via the internet on the 'my space site. Her compositions uploaded on to the site had 11 million plays, 100,000 my space friends, averaging a staggering 100,000 plays a day and became the no.1 unsigned artist on the site over a 4 month period.
To the compact disc,well is very easy to listen to. The stand out tracks 'Bubbly','Realise','Midnight bottle' and 'Tailormade', simply put together with either acoustic guitar or piano for accompaniment.
The deluxe edition of the disc features 5 bonus tracks, one of which is recorded live, a solo acoustic version of 'Bubbly' and a piano version of 'Magic'.
The californian music takes you off dreamily staring into the ocean, chilling with a cold beer, sunbathing in the hot sun!
