Customer Reviews

Excellent Buy, but you would be better off with the Intel machines5
Excellent buy, good finish, Vista RTM is BAD, VISTA SP1 is the BEST OS in town. As for the guy above if you want XP install XP and then get your drivers from Intel, NVIDIA websites (Use your brain and don't claim I am Windows Administrator!).

Regards,

Apro.

Not bad... but beware about hp issues..3
Well..I bought this note 2 month ago and I use it a lot.
For the price is a very good machine.. OS very good, HP media center good but rubbish if you have a lot of files in same folder and long play list.
But, beware about 3 problems;
-Never cover processor air entrance for more them 10 min or the note will turn off.
- LCD is very very fragile, more like Paper Screen... If you wanna walk around with no worries buy the accident warranty;
-HP support is worst thin ever, they just wanna keep you in the phone as much as possible(the guy took 17min to sent me a email, holding all my data in hands, 25min for that, total 32 min call) and after I reply it...where is the answer??

That`s all I want to say, sorry about the quality of my review but I just wanna to show what really disappointed me.

Vista Ruins a good machine1
HP Pavilion dv5-1111ea Entertainment 15.4-inch Laptop, AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD

This product is good but there are absolutely NO XP drivers anywhere on the internet for the chipsetss, and hp are unwilling to support it. I found it using 50% CPU on the default 'Propellorheads Reason 4' song. It only uses 0-5% when i installed xp on the machine but i could not get the graphics driver for love nor money and neither could hp support!

Bearing in mind I have worked professionally as a windows domain admin for the past 6 years. My previous experiance with hp support should have warned me when i bought 20 HP vp6135 projectors that were coming out of new boxes totally faulty. AND they had the cheek to replace my NEW products with reconditioned products.

Sorry HP you are for the divorce courts!

goodbye.

go get a real computer like a mac, or a panasonic!!
