Editorial Reviews

CD Description
Pop sensation Rihanna has gotten no small mileage out of her multi-platinum 2007 release, GOOD GIRL GONE BAD. With its smash singles "Umbrella", "Disturbia", "Shut Up and Drive", and others, and its supplemental release, 2008's GOOD GIRL GONE BAD: RELOADED, featuring three new songs, Rihanna's sophomore release has legs like few other releases. That trend continues with GOOD GIRL GONE BAD: THE REMIXES, which has top-shelf producers like Tony Moran, Jody Den Broeder, Wideboys, and Seamus Haji giving driving, club-oriented treatments to the album's tracks. Rather than seeming like overkill, theremixes highlight the catchy, groove-driven appeal of Rihanna's tunes, making for the perfect party album.

Customer Reviews

A *Sweet* Dose Of Party!!!5
Rihanna has definitely re-invented herself throughout her music career achieving new sounds, styles, and blends but the themes of fast, uplifting dance up-tempo tracks prevail! Her style may shift but her overall success in bringing party vibes, bringing a room to club atmosphere on high, and club junkies wanting more and more are strong! Rihanna rocks the house with short and sweet remixes definitely wildly hot fast, dance-fully on fire, and blazing with restless funk!

While most remixes from other artists like Remixed, B in the Mix: The Remixes, Un-Break My Heart: The Remix Collection, B'Day-The Beyonce Experience Live, Live in Atlanta and Mariah Carey's Remixes use longer versions, hip-hop edge on others, and excellent styles Rihanna brings to the forefront a "unique" preference to sprinkle the dance vibe in just a short and sweet fashion!

Overall, the listening of all the remixes are definitely enjoyable in uplifting the moods, feeling energized, or for many in the moods to dance, go to the club, or party with friends or alone! There's much variation and excellent blends that include featured artists such as Ne-yo, and Jay-Z and mid-tempo tracks accelerated to up-tempo dance styles most definitely club hot!

The ultimate club junkie fantasy would be a smooth flowing non-stop from track to track style with long mixes or remixes [from my tastes]. However, variety and unique short condensed versions are a much added enjoyment to hear on the run, to work-out, or to get more array of albums heard in a shorter time span. In a rush world were the time is little, one can imagine that a sweet style remix album like this will benefit many people who want a dose, a taste, or just a fast shot of dance spunk!

For goodness sake!1
I am now getting sick and tired of Rihanna creating loads of versions of the Good Girl Gone Bad album! First she creates a reloaded version. That was a waste of time as it only had a few extra tracks on it, which were rubbish anyway. Secondly she creates a tour edition. Ugh! Just buy the Good Girl Gone Bad concert on DVD for a much better price! And finaly she creates this tripe. A remix CD with only 12 songs on it! Her other one includes about 20 tracks! She also released a silly CD/DVD version with a different cover. What a waste of time. The picture is in the good girl gone bad album and with the dvd you can include the concert dvd with your origonal copy. Why waste your money on something you can buy sepratly cheaper like the concert dvd. She also keeps on releasing silly little singles from the album. JUST BUY THE ORIGINAL ALBUM!
