Customer Reviews
Could've been called Hed Kandi South London, nothing Brazilian in there
Maybe it's my fault for not memorising every track name and DJ name out there (in my defence, some do change their alias more often than they do their socks), but this could've been any generic current house compilation.
By having Brazil in the title and on the cover suggested to me it was going to be something like Giles Peterson's Brazil mixes (disc 2 mind). Nothing like that. You get some reviews of Brazilian clubs in the cover sleeve. Other than that, this compilation could've been titled Hed Kandi South London, Mumbai or Auckland. That would've made no difference to the contents.
Do not buy this...
May be I'm wrong but this album is nothing like a hed kandi album, there is no connection to brazil what so ever, they might as well have put 'hed kandi world series Bermondsey' there are no slick brazilian beats, its not easy on the ears, there are no decent vocals, no decent tracks, this album is so random and not worth the money whatsoever...
Was there a mix-up at Hed Kandi Towers?
What is this? What it is not is a collection of tracks that have anything to do with Brazil. 2 CD's of fillers that sound like they didnt make it onto this years Twisted Disco CD. Just when you think Hed Kandi are beginning to regain some of the spark they lost after Mark Doyle left they come out with this. Absolute rubbish. The only thing it has in its favour is the artwork on the cover. Why do Hed Kandi continue to be so unpredictable in the quality of their releases?
Less is sometimes more - Avoid!
