Beautiful, Uplifting and Inspiring
I'm a big fan of contemporary classical music, but I have to admit to never having heard anything like this before. The story behind the music is that Oliver walked the 5000 or so mile Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, carrying his violin with him and some recording equipment. Along the way when he encountered a church which he thought to be 'acoustically interesting' - he played and recorded. This is the result.

Since hearing this (as recommended by Yann Martel on his what is Stephen Harper Reading? website) I've listened to alot of Olivers music and all of it is melodious, uplifting and extremely life affirming. I can't really explain why, but the music makes you feel very grateful.

A really wonderful find - and highly recommended. Although Amazon doesn't have much of his music (the Album Hym and Hers is also wonderful) - you can order it via his website if you're interested.
