	Lorca's Granada: A Practical Guide by Ian Gibson Buy new: £6.99 / Used from: £2.00 Took this to Granada with me - really great way of exploring the city and if you love Lorca this is a must have.
	Y Tu Mama Tambien [2001] Buy new: £13.69 / Used from: £2.56 A teen road movie with a difference - it's good! Infused with beauty and sadness this film is touching and prevocative. Gael GarcÃa Bernal is excellent.
	City Of God (Cidade De Deus) [2003] Buy new: £4.28 / Used from: £2.98 Oh my god this film is good. Really good. Disturbing and at times physically difficult to watch yet still incredibly beautiful - this in my eyes is a masterpice of cinematography.
	One Hundred Years of Solitude (Penguin Modern Classics) by Gabriel Garcia Marquez Buy new: £6.49 / Used from: £2.99 100 Years started it all off for me, my love for Spanish writing and my love for magic realism. It's a must!
	Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho Buy new: £3.99 / Used from: £1.39 Beautiful writing that at times poses an uncomfortable read. Eleven Minutes is a love story which looks into the world of prostitution. Bit erotic too!
	One Hundred Love Sonnets: Cien Sonetos De Amor (Texas Pan American Series) by Pablo Neruda Buy new: £9.99 / Used from: £0.33 Neruda is one of those poets that really really gets to me. Read it in Spanish if you can (this book offers both English and Spanish versions of each poem).
	Shameful Life of Salvador Dali by I Gibson Buy used from: £52.73 This guy is complex, I mean really complex! This is not a dull bio at all!
	Open Your Eyes [1997] Buy used from: £7.99 Forget the inferior version with Tom Cruise (ick), the original Spanish film of Vanilla Sky is a great watch. Penelope Cruise plays the same character which is interesting!

	Matisse Picasso by Anne Baldassari Buy used from: £29.45 Explores the works of Matisse and Picasso and the conversations between the paintings.
	Homage to Catalonia (Penguin Modern Classics) by George Orwell Buy new: £6.99 / Used from: £2.00 Not really Spanish, but I love Orwell and his account of his experience as a militiaman in the Spanish Civil War is one of my favorite reads. Great if you want to know more about the author.
	Proxima Estacion Esperanza by Manu Chao Buy used from: £4.15 This guy sings in Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, French and English - A happy summery type album.
