My favourite soundtracks (in alphabetical order)

	A Kind of Magic by Queen Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £1.75 Despite what the credits to the film say, there is no soundtrack to "Highlander" - this is the closest there is. But it is good, even if it's not classic Queen (I've always preferred 70s Queen).
	The Cable Guy by Original Soundtrack Buy used from: £1.92 Notable for Jerry Cantrell's first solo outing, but other good tracks too - including on some versions an awesome remix of Stabbing Westward's "Shame". The two Reed/VU covers are both very good also.
	The Craft by Various Buy used from: £3.34 In my experience almost anything with Ralph Sall on board is going to be good. A good mix of original songs and inspired covers from some great (and often overlooked) bands and artists.
	The Crow by Various Artists Buy new: £10.28 / Used from: £0.77 Quite simply the best soundtrack I've ever heard, on CD and at the movies! This should be the blueprint for all soundtracks (regardless of musical genre), being the perfect complement to the film.
	Empire Records by Various Artists Buy used from: £0.62 A bit patchy, but some great songs on here. Unfortunately, as is often the case, some great songs used in the movie do not appear on the soundtrack. Oh well...
	Labyrinth by Trevor Jones Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.50 I loved this movie as a kid, and I loved the soundtrack. Since I love Bowie's music still, it's a given I still love this soundtrack. "You remind me of the babe".....
	Mission: Impossible 2 by Original Soundtrack Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £2.40 This is probably the most patchy soundtrack on this list. To be honest, I bought it (cheap!!) for just the one song: the Foo's awesome cover of "Have a Cigar". It is sooo good!!
	Nightmare Before Christmas by Various Artists Buy new: £6.17 / Used from: £6.50 I love this movie, and I love this soundtrack. If you can, get the 2CD edition with great demo versions, some inspired covers (eg Marilyn Manson) and some not so inspired (Panic! at the Disco).
	Not Another Teen Movie by Original Soundtrack Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £1.98 As suggested above, covers can be great and they can be not so great. This soundtrack delivers both, but the good covers really are very good!
	Singles by Original Soundtrack Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.77 Almost as good as the Crow, for taking similar artists and songs, and matching them perfectly to the movie. Unfortunately there are a couple of songs which, while good, really don't fit so well.
	Spawn: The Album by Original Soundtrack Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £1.12 Every now and then, someone tries to splice two different styles of music together. This is the most coherent album of such material I've heard. A couple of duds, but mostly good and very good!
	Star Wars Trilogy Box Set [Deluxe Remastered Version] by John Williams Buy new: £17.98 / Used from: £16.10 One of the most recognised soundtracks ever, reminiscent of Holst and Wagner. I don't have this, but an earlier box set of 4 discs. You can't go wrong with Star Wars though...
	Topless Women Talk About Their Lives by Original Soundtrack Buy used from: £0.92 A wonderful collection of 80s Flying Nun releases on a soundtrack for a film I've never seen. This really is a brilliant album though, with every track super! Highly recommended!!
	Underworld by Original Soundtrack Buy used from: £1.44 Again, a patchy soundtrack, but (again) the good is very good. Danny Lohner's "Renholder" tracks are good, and Bowie and APC are great.
	Best of the Wombles by The Wombles Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £3.99 Not strictly speaking a soundtrack, but close to it, and every track is good - which is more than can be said about some of the above!
	You Know My Name by Chris Cornell Buy used from: £6.96 The best Bond song since Duran Duran's "View to a Kill", but for some reason isn't on the soundtrack??? (hence my putting this on the bottom of the list, rather than under C for Casino!)
