![]() | Frames + DVD by Oceansize
At this moment in time, I just can't stop listening to this album. I love everything Oceansize have ever done but this surpasses all of it.

![]() | Live at the Royal Albert Hall by The Cinematic Orchestra
Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £13.30 I feel lucky to have been at this gig. Live, everything sounds so much fuller than on their individual albums.
![]() | Musicology by Prince
Buy used from: £1.48 Probably his only genuinely consistant album, and in my opinion, his best by far.
![]() | Then What Happened? by J-Live
Buy new: £3.17 / Used from: £8.20 Just quality, honest, Hip Hop that speaks for itself and that isn't enitrely concerned with shifting units.
![]() | All Hour Cymbals by Yeasayer
Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £5.90 "At last, they are trying something different," exclaims one reviewer. Indeed, they are.
![]() | Untrue by Burial
Buy new: £9.28 / Used from: £7.69 Dubstep is an awfully over-rated genre, but it does have some great moments. This album goes beyond Dubstep though... It's just deep. Really, really deep.
![]() | Meantime by Helmet
Buy used from: £4.65 Everyone should have a bit of Helmet every now and again. Erm...
![]() | Check Your Head by Beastie Boys
Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £0.66 If you think of the Beasties as just a faux Hip Hop outfit, this will prove you very, very wrong.
![]() | The Remixes 1997-2000 by Jazzanova
Buy used from: £4.48 All their best remix work on a very nicely presented double album.
![]() | Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk [Extra tracks] by Jeff Buckley
Buy used from: £2.99 Not perfect, but that only makes it all the more convincing. (Grace was too slick for my liking - Stick to the live recordings). Showcasing his astonishing diversity.
![]() | Sons of Koop by Koop
Buy used from: £34.33 Just a great album... Nothing in particular to say about it, but it's great.
![]() | Hvarf/Heim by Sigur Ros
Buy used from: £3.99 I have Takk sat around somewhere too but have never listened to it for some reason... Anyway, this is beautiful, epic, and can take a bit of getting used to on the vocal front.
![]() | Laughing Stock by Talk Talk
Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £3.06 A criminally overlooked album by one of the most forward-thinking bands of the 80s. This album is completely different to what you'd expect.
![]() | Here My Dear (Expanded Edition) by Marvin Gaye
Buy new: £12.98 / Used from: £7.99 Marvin Gaye poured his heart out into this album, and you can tell. It's upsetting that this album is so vastly overshadowed by What's Going On.
![]() | Tin Cans With Strings to You by Far
Buy new: £9.67 / Used from: £2.48 Sound-wise this album can be a bit of a funny one, especially 'that' snare drum, but it's raw, and that's how Rock should sound.
![]() | Deftones by Deftones
Buy new: £6.38 / Used from: £1.69 A logical step from Far to Deftones, methinks. This is my personal favourite of theirs, and is arguably quite under-rated by alot of their fans.
![]() | Musical Shark Attack by I-Roy
Buy new: £6.48 / Used from: £2.41 A very welcome combination of accessible dubby-ness and one or two words of wisdom.
![]() | Pärt: Tabula Rasa
Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £5.42 My favourite composer ever, without a doubt. Parts of this sound like a precursor to Sigur Ros.
![]() | The W by Wu-Tang Clan
Buy new: £5.78 / Used from: £0.53 This album lived in my walkman when I was a kid. It has a special place in my heart for that reason.
![]() | The Trentemoller Chronicles by Trentemøller
Buy new: £14.19 / Used from: £14.82 The second disc is alot less interesting than the first, but this album is worth it for the Moan remix alone.
![]() | Blood Mountain by Mastodon
Buy new: £7.18 / Used from: £5.50 Good Metal albums are hard to come by, but this is exceptional. Please burn all your nasty Iron Maiden albums and buy this instead.
![]() | Street Horrrsing by Fuck Buttons
Buy new: £7.98 Interesting. If you can find the music in amongst all the distortion and screaming you'll probably find this quite rewarding.
![]() | Era Vulgaris by Queens Of The Stone Age
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.65 This one is a definite grower. Of course, Songs For The Deaf is probably their best album, but you knew that already.
![]() | Debut by Björk
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £0.47 Even if you buy it just for Play Dead...
![]() | On the Corner by Miles Davis
Buy used from: £4.24 Miles apparently once said that he could put together the best Rock band in the world... He never got around to that, but this still rocks.
