	Fullmetal Alchemist 1 - The Curse [DVD] Buy used from: £5.00 Excellent anime that tells the story of the Elric brothers on their harrowing quest to right their wrongs and return their bodies to normal. Very deep, but also has great comedy moments too.
	Cowboy Bebop Collection Box 1 [DVD] by Cowboy Bebop Buy used from: £35.99 Fun, original, and simply a classic til the last episode-which is one of the very best anime endings ever. The jazzy musical score is a high note. Also check out the movie!
	Spirited Away [DVD] [2001] Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £5.17 Miayazaki at his best-this is so uplifting and innocent you could just cry from the beauty of it all. A treasure that belongs in everyone's collection.
	Howl's Moving Castle [DVD] [2005] Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £6.44 Miayazaki's second masterpiece, sadly underappreciated and unfairly living in the shadow of Spirited Away, this is still one incredibly sweet and magical movie.
	RahXephon - Vol 1 [2003] [DVD] Buy new: £9.48 / Used from: £2.19 Ayato Kamina is chosen to pilot the Rahxephon, and struggles to accept the new burdens given to him, the memories he holds within, and the truth about the world. Sophisticated romance/drama/mecha.
	Haibane Renmei Vol.1 [DVD] Buy new: £5.98 / Used from: £1.24 A diamond in the rough, Haibane Renmei rewards the patient viewer. Very deep messages about the meaning of life, and the value of true friendship; Rakka must help Reki find peace within herself.
	Escaflowne: The Movie [DVD] [2000] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Heightens the story of Escaflowne to its very best-gorgeous animation and score by Yoko Kanno, breathtaking mecha action and a sweet love story which unfolds. Truly stunning viewing.
	Millennium Actress [DVD] [2001] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £4.34 This movie rushes through at its own pace, dragging the viewer into the life of beautiful, famous actress Chioko as she spends her lifetime pursuing the man she loves. Incredibly beautiful movie.
	Voices Of A Distant Star [DVD] [2002] Buy used from: £9.98 The most poignant and moving 25 minutes worth of anime I've ever encountered. Short, but very sweet and will stay with you for a long time.
	Whisper Of The Heart [DVD] Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £4.19 Shizuku has fallen in love for the first time, and now wants to prove her gift at writing to both herself, and the boy she loves. Very inspirational, uplifting, heartwarming little film.
	Wolf's Rain - Chapter 1: In The Company Of Wolves [2004] [DVD] by Wolf's Rain Melancholy and beautiful, Wolf's Rain is the tale of an apocolyptic world, in which four wolves set out on a journey to paradise. Probably better appreciated by those with mature tastes in anime.
	Gunslinger Girl - The Complete Box Set [DVD] [2003] by Gunslinger Girl Buy used from: £19.65 Lovely music, fantastic visuals by Studio Madhouse and blessed by a cast of lovable little assassins, Gunslinger Girl is dark and violent, but also very tender and meaningful. Highly recommended.
	Mushi-Shi Starter Set [DVD] by Mushi Shi Not quite animals, not quite plants-just what are these strange, mysterious creatures? Mushishi is without a doubt 2007's greatest anime masterpiece; akin to Kino's Journey in its depth and beauty.
