	Capturing The Friedmans [2004] [DVD] Buy new: £15.88 / Used from: £3.00 One you can watch over and over and still wonder about who is telling the truth and the dysfunctional family dynamics of the Friedmans.
	Tarnation [DVD] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £1.98 It´s like reading someones personal scrapbook. Not for everyone but a feast for those looking for something different and touching.
	American Movie [DVD] [2000] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £14.07 Quirky character following his dream no matter what. Strangely inspirational but you still get the feeling he (Mark Borchardt) is using those closest to him.
	Touching The Void [DVD] [2003] Buy new: £7.88 Amazing story about survival. Great use of dramatic re-enactment.
	Deep Water [DVD] [2006] Buy new: £4.98 A great cautionary tale. You keep shaking your head in disbelief over the run of terrible descisions which ultimately leads to.....(have to see it to find out)
	Grizzly Man [2005] [DVD] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £1.65 Werner Herzog is a gem and his narration is spellbinding as is this film about obsession (like other Herzog main characters, be it in docs or dramas).
	Mr. Death: The Rise & Fall of Fred A. Leuchter Jr. [DVD] [1999] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £6.88 Errol Morris is hands down the best human interest documentarian out there. A disciple, of sorts, of Werner Herzog. This doc is just unbelievable, like all of Erroll Morris´s stuff.
	Dark Days [DVD] [2001] Buy used from: £7.60 Marc Singer is my hero. The making of, which is included in the DVD, is just as interesting as the film and it will inspire you to go and do your own documentary.
	Grey Gardens [Masters of Cinema] [1976] [DVD] Buy new: £9.88 / Used from: £9.00 One of the classics.
	The Up Series [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £62.50 Another classics, not just documentary classics but cinematic history classics.
	Errol Morris' First Person, The Complete Series [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £30.85 Erroll Morris and his interrotron (subjects looking straight into the camera). You should own everything by Morris.
	The Iceman: Confessions of a Mafia Hitman- Part 1/Part 2 [DVD] [2002] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £29.00 The best serial killer/mass murderer portrait I have seen, and I´ve seen my fair share. You actually will feel for the guy.
	Michael Moore Hates America [DVD] [2004] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £5.00 Haven´t seen this. Just wanted to state that Michael Moore is not a documentarian, he is a propagandist.
	Murderball [DVD] [2005] Buy new: £4.88 / Used from: £2.68 Interesting, but not essential
	Spellbound [DVD] [2003] Buy new: £5.07 / Used from: £1.67 Is said to be good
	Etre Et Avoir [DVD] [2002] Buy used from: £7.40 This one too, but check out what others say about it and Spellbound, just wanted to point these docs out.
	Aileen: Life And Death Of A Serial Killer [DVD] [2003] Buy new: £5.48 / Used from: £4.98 Nick Broomfield should not narrate his own movies. This is his best work though.
	Tupac - Resurrection [DVD] [2004] Buy new: £5.98 / Used from: £3.02 Not a big Tupac fan but this doc is interesting in that it uses Tupacs own voice to narrate the story.
