Mister Monday (The Keys to the Kingdom)Mister Monday (The Keys to the Kingdom) by Garth Nix
Buy new: £1.99 / Used from: £0.01
Along with the rest of The Keys to the Kingdom. For younger readers than The Old Kingdom by Nix, but still a good read and with a set of seven it can keep you occupied for a while
The Recruit: Bk. 1 (CHERUB)The Recruit: Bk. 1 (CHERUB) by Robert Muchamore
Buy new: £4.14 / Used from: £1.63
The Cherub books: a bit like the better known Alex Rider, but better in my opinion. If you don't like the first book then try the 2nd, because they get better
Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride)Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride) by James Patterson

A good book following Maximum Ride and her 'flock' a winged set of escapees from the dreaded School. Not as bad as it sounds, the book is really entertaining, an enjoyable read
School's Out - Forever (Maximum Ride (Quality))School's Out - Forever (Maximum Ride (Quality)) by James Patterson
Buy new: £2.10 / Used from: £6.39
The second book in the Maximum Ride series (well its just two books at the moment but we can hope). Just as entertaining as the first but leaves more questions than it answers
The Colour of Magic (Discworld Novel)The Colour of Magic (Discworld Novel) by Terry Pratchett
Buy new: £4.89 / Used from: £0.01
The first in the Discworld series, an exceptional set of books from Terry Pratchett. Read any of them, they're all great!
The Wee Free MenThe Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett
Buy new: £4.49 / Used from: £1.49
The start of a story of Tiffany Aching and the Nac Mac Feegle. Apparently for younger readers, but I've always found them entertaining. Of course that could just be saying something about me...
Good OmensGood Omens by Neil Gaiman
Buy new: £5.59 / Used from: £1.45
A hilarious teaming up of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, containing both's views on human nature and humour. Definitly Recommended
The EdgeThe Edge by Alan Gibbons
Buy new: £2.36 / Used from: £0.01
& others. I would buy most Alan Gibbon books without reading the blurb, due to the fact that although his genre of books aren't generally my type, each one of his has entertained me: read any of them
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) [Adult Edition]Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) [Adult Edition] by J. K. Rowling
Buy new: £10.11 / Used from: £2.99
Pff, I'll put this in because it definitly is JK's best, along with her 6th one. I'm sure most will have read it, so there's not much point putting it in, but it is a good book
The DoomspellThe Doomspell by Cliff McNish
Buy new: £4.49 / Used from: £0.01
Original story, following witches as evil-doers once again, but with twists of originality and a very entertaining storyline. Just found out about Silver Sequence by McNish, which looks good too.
SleepwalkingSleepwalking by Nicola Morgan
Buy new: £4.49 / Used from: £0.01
Borrowed this from my sister on holdiay. Very original and entertaining: at first i compared to Equilibirum but when i finished it seems to be completely new. Has alot to do with the power of stories.
Stravaganza: City of MasksStravaganza: City of Masks by Mary Hoffman
Buy new: £7.32 / Used from: £0.01
With 2 other books which makes me think its a trilogy, but it doesn't have a very definitve end. An original and entertaining set of books following three teenages who find a way into another world.
The Shamer's Daughter (Shamer Chronicles)The Shamer's Daughter (Shamer Chronicles) by Lene Kaaberbol
Buy used from: £26.93
Four books based on the Shamer's daughter, and later her son, in a world where the Shamer's voice and stare makes men feel guilt for their actions, Very original and hard to put down
HolesHoles by Louis Sachar

Entertaining and well written book about Camp Green Lake. Followed by Small Steps, following the life of Armpit.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy PackHitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Pack by Douglas Adams
Buy new: £23.97 / Used from: £18.69
Everyone must have heard of this. Great books. Also read Salmon of Doubt. Not much of a story due to his death, but his short stories and intro's make me wish I'd met him or just heard of him sooner
Private PeacefulPrivate Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo
Buy new: £2.99 / Used from: £1.00
Not being a fan of Morpurgo I approached this with caution, but it's an incredble book and very sad. I'd like to make the point here that the books here aren't ranked, they're all well worth reading
