Intellectual, fun, notorious graffiti artist, many people cant go and see all of these themselves, the book gives you a good idea of the work he's done though, definitely worth a look.

I'm adamant that this is one of the best things ever written, best to imagine it being said in the scottish accent when reading it otherwise you will be totally lost.
The Trick Is to Keep BreathingThe Trick Is to Keep Breathing by Janice Galloway

Empty, hollow, you can feel the sadness in the pages of this book. It is warm and truthful, and depression is empty and lonely, but the wry humour gives it a spark and keeps it alive.

Expensive (if you're a student) but brilliant, especially when you've gone blank and need something to spark a few ideas. A really wonderful book to look at and refer too. Also try Vitamin P and Ph
A Long Way DownA Long Way Down by Nick Hornby

Maybe not his best book, its hardly literary genius, but it made me laugh on the train, and any book that makes me look slightly mental on public transport is good enough for me.

Brighton RockBrighton Rock by Graham Greene

Rose: People change. Ida: I've never changed. It's like those sticks of rock. Bite one all the way down, you'll still read Brighton. That's human nature.
Thin SkinThin Skin by Emma Forrest

This annoyed me a lot in places, but i've read it many times and i'll end up reading it again. There is a space in my head for people like Ruby irritating self centred and fascinating.
The Whitsun Weddings (Faber Poetry)The Whitsun Weddings (Faber Poetry) by Philip Larkin
Buy new: £3.58 / Used from: £0.98
People dismiss Larkin easily by saying his work is depressing, when they say that, they've sort of missed the point. There is a humour to be found in these poems, its dark though, thats why its great.
