	Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not by Arctic Monkeys Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £5.00 Putting Sheffield back on the map, this is my favourite album (and band) since The Libertines. An absolute classic that should be owned by anybody who calls themselves a music fan.
	Inside In/Inside Out by Kooks Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £1.00 When I came across this album in January and played and played and played it, I never thought it would become such a mainstream hit. Glad it did though. Fave track: Sofa Song.
	Sam's Town by The Killers Buy new: £4.97 / Used from: £2.69 This is a grower of an album - and it grows into something original, magnificent, and at least as good as their debut Hot Fuss. Fave track: Bones.
	Empire by Kasabian Buy new: £5.38 / Used from: £1.20 While their debut was heavily influenced by The Stone Roses, this one saw them grow up and develop their own unique sound. Pure brilliance. Fave track: Me Plus One.
	Waterloo to Anywhere by Dirty Pretty Things Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £1.09 Another Libertines spin-off, and one that doesn't stray too far from the format that worked so well for Carl and Pete. Fave track: Blood Thirsty Bastards.
	Stadium Arcadium [2CD] [Explicit Lyrics] by Red Hot Chili Peppers Buy new: £11.69 / Used from: £4.25 This double album is proof that The Chilis can do no wrong. And it seems to come so easy to them too - every track could be a single. I wonder how they'll follow it, I wonder if they can...
	Howling Bells by Howling Bells Buy used from: £57.87 The female lead singer has long hair, and plays guitar. Don't let that put you off though - this is an amazing album, sung in a voice you might hear in your dreams. Fave track: Low Happening.
	Show Your Bones by Yeah Yeah Yeahs Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £3.74 Took me a while to get into this, unlike their debut, but it's worth the time. Show Your Bones is a more grown-up sound, but still with the energy only Karen O could give. Fave track: Deja Vu.
	Broken Boy Soldiers by The Raconteurs Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £4.99
	Someone to Drive You Home by Long Blondes Buy new: £6.48 / Used from: £2.70
	Be Your Own Pet by Be Your Own Pet Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £3.50
	Raise the Alarm by Sunshine Underground Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £5.19 A truly fantastic debut from yet another Sheffield band. Can't name a favourite track though, as they're all my favourite.
	Liberation Transmission by Lostprophets Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £4.58 I always feel uplifted by this album. Favourite track is the top ten hit Rooftops.
	Well Well Well by Milburn Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £4.25 And we're back in Sheffield - again, with an album that's clearly influenced by the same thing (whatever that is) as the Arctic Monkeys. Fave track: What You Could've Won.
