The meaning of this tale is no doubt dependent upon the age of the reader. I think I enjoyed and appreciated it more now than I ever would have done at a younger age.

The popularity of this book made me hesitate in picking it up (the snob inside me). It's a good book though, I have to confess. Sometimes you have to listen to the masses.

Strange one this. I didn't like either of the main characters but you're not supposed to. A little coarse in places and perhaps slightly too clever for it's own good.

I appreciated the Nottingham references in this book (it's my closest city) but the central character was a little grating. So he got dumped - after three years, he should just get over it.
