A Guide to Prodigy, in order
The Fat of the LandThe Fat of the Land by The Prodigy
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £0.89
Essential. Ear-splitting insanity, the first album i bought and STILL the best. SMBU,Mindfields,Diesel Power are (after nearly a decade) still mind blowing. Firestarter&Breathe have dated a bit though
Music for the Jilted GenerationMusic for the Jilted Generation by The Prodigy
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £1.64
Nearly as good. Warped trip through the early nineties, Break and Enter is an epic and furious beat'n'synth mash-up. Poison is a slab of hard techno with a great vocal hook. Electronic excellence!

Essentially a hiphop set, with indie and Poison thrown in to the (astonishing) mix. Liam Howlett is the messiah! Hopefully Vol 2 will be available soon.

The debut. Hasnt dated well, although there are a few absolute classics on here. Weather Experience is an early example of their full potential. Jericho is also worth hearing.
Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005 by The Prodigy
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.79
Useful introduction, but the only real reason for a true prodigy-head to buy this (who has all the albums already) is the Limited Ed cd with some rare cuts and remixes. Molotov B***h is heavy.

Shows what the Prodge are all about: gigs!If youve been to one you'd understand.Filmed in '97 at the height of their popularity, its way way cool. Also check out the Glasto'95 performance of Break&Enter
Always Outnumbered Never OutgunnedAlways Outnumbered Never Outgunned by The Prodigy
Buy new: £7.38 / Used from: £0.99
The latest offering. Not a total failure, but it doesnt come close to Fat or Jilted. Feels flat and rushed, lacking in depth or meaning. Hopefully 2007 album will be a vast improvement.

Havent got it, might get it at some point. Remixes of 15 year old rave? Do i need that in my life? I love Prodigy but id like to think im not that sad.
