Vintage Stones: Sister Morphine, B**ch, Sway...all like, great stuff. I also had the cover with the real zip but sold it to pursue another activity which interested the Stones, particularly Keeph.

Their first and an excellent album, Streams of whiskey and Boys from the county hell particularly good.

I've not heard enough Cohen to make a balanced judgement but his earlier stuff sounds like bad Dylan to me. This stuff however is brooding darkness made sound.

Why I've not included any Dr. John I don't know. I must be severely reprimanded. Title track and Walk on gilded splinters phenomenal tracks. As Tricky say, This ain't music, it's voodoo.

Sublime, gut ripping stuff from 'The Alchemist'.

This is the recording with which I'm most familiar and I can't find one I like as much. Virtuoso magnificence.

No Monk in a while so here's some of his best, with a fine sleeve to boot. Relax into this and have your mind straightened out.
