    Quite simply brilliant!5
These headphons are just quite simply astonishing.
First of all the build quality is unmatched, they are extremely well put together, and everything is one hundred percent secure.
As an electric sound engineer by trade, it's my job to recognize good quailty auido equipment when i hear it, and this is definetely just that. Upon inspection of the circuitry i found that all was perfectly in order, the soldering was very neat, as was the wiring, and everything seemed very competently assembled. These headphones also look the part, they come in a range of colours (mine are silver and blue) and all the colours look very nice, the swivelling cups allow for one ear moniitoring, and for the headband to to rest on your neck, which looks considerabley more discreet and more stylish.

As for the sound, i was quite simply astonished when i heard them, these are by design DJ headphones, but are magnificently versatile and can be used for almost anything.
The sound reproduction on these heasphones is amazing, the 50mm drive unit delivers great volume, and the closed supra-aural cup design allows for complete noise cancellation, totally blocking out outside noise.

I primarily use these headphones for practicing my Bass Guitar silently, and they cope with the bass brilliantly. The bass reproduction is so sharp, yet so low and punchy, thanks to the neodymium magnets, they cope with the bass solo they can even handle very low tunings, even a downtuned low B!
The treble is alos astiundinlgy crisp, and a combination of all these crystal clear sound reproductions adds up to a pair of marvellous headphones that will give you the best possible sound for the price.

There are better headphones available, but not for the same price, £70 is very low, £30 under Sony's R.R.P

So, in conclusion these Headphones may be designed for DJ's, but they will work for just about anything, and are brilliant for just enjoying your music at its very possible best!

    Great headphones at great price!5
I am not a DJ, I just like to enjoy music at it's best possible quality and these headphones do just that. The sound from them is exceptional (as you would expect from a SONY product).
The main use I have for these is to listen to music through my minidisc player and as long as the minidisc is not recorded on LP4 the sound quality is excellent, (although there are some exceptions, such as older music, where I cannot see a difference in the sound). I have also used these headphones for watching DVD's, checking out downloaded MP3's and listening through a hi-fi, once again a great sound!
The only possibe fault I can find with these is that at first they seem a little tight on your head, but you soon get used to this and they seem very comfortable. Apart from this the headphones are flawless. They are extremely well made, they fold up and can be stored easily, they sound great and they look the business.

If you have the money, ditch your old headphones and get a pair of these babies!!! (you won't be disappointed)

Excellent for those who like powerful bass5
I bought these headphones after my last set (Sony MDR-CD280) couldn't handle my music and one of the ears developed a nasty distortion. However these headphones can handle anything I can throw at them, with a robust 3000mW maximum input power. The 50mm dome type drivers produce excellent deep bass and are ideally suited to dance type music. The bass does tend to over-power mid and highs a little. Although all types of music seem clearer once your ears get used to the headphones, they have an excellent frequency range of 5-30,000Hz.

The closed back ear cups isolate outside noise very well. The ear pads are made of a soft leather-like material, not cloth. The headband is thick, comfortable and fully adjustable. They are reasonably comfy on your head although they do have quite a tight grip on your ears, which can make your ears ache if you wear the headphones for long periods of time.

The folding design of the headphones is great and makes them much more compact to transport, they also come with a nice silky bag to carry them in and a screw-on unimatch stereo plug. The general construction of the headphones is good quality and pretty sturdy, the backs of the ear cups are partially aluminium. The cord is coiled/telephone style, oxygen free, thick and seems good quality. I am very pleased with the headphones and I would not go back to my old type of headphones, they seem powerless after these!
