For AGP GFX card owners, it's a beauty5
I've had this motherboard for a few years now and feel I know it inside and out. I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first. If you want to run Vista, avoid this board. While the name is deceiving, VSTA, no version of Vista will run well with this board. The problem lies in the fact it is an nforce3 chip-set with AGP graphics. If you never play any games or play any videos you might get away it but I wouldn't recommend it at all, if Vista or Windows 7 is what you want to run now or in the future.

If you're still reading, when paired with XP or perhaps a flavour of Linux, this board is terrific. What makes this board so special is it will take really cheap DDR2 memory, happily run dual core amd chips, right up to the Phenom range and still let you make use of an AGP graphics card. If you happen to have bought an expensive one you still feel can cut it performance wise, then this is a great upgrade, as you can keep your graphics card but buy into really cheap and fast memory/cpu. If you do not own an AGP graphics card, really avoid this board, it is a crossover product really for people with AGP graphics cards already that want to step up in performance without losing said card.

The board is rock solid, you'll probably have to flash it to get support for the really recent processors but I had no problems doing this. The official website still actively supports the board with current downloads for it.

Another nice plus is having 4 memory slots, the most I ever used was 2 with 2gb sticks to get a total of 4gb memory but in xp with a 512mb graphics card I only had access to 3gb due to xp 32bit restrictions.

Overall a solid performer, overclocked enough for me, lots of options in the bios for tweakers and really the rest you can get from the description.

Works fine4
It dose what it says on the box and is working well on my XP home based system.
If you are replacing an older board read items on the web about changing mother boards on an XP system and save yourself a lot of hassle.
