This device can transmit VGA signals over long distances using CAT5e or higher twisted pair cable. It consists of a local and remote module. Installation couldn't be easier - the local module connects to the source (e.g. PC or Mac); the remote module connects to the display. CAT5e or higher cable is used to connect the modules together. It's an ideal cost effective solution for corporate industrial education and training use or any other situation requiring VGA distribution. Suitable for use with CRT monitors may also be used with TFT or LCD displays working at lower screen resolutions. Extends VGA video signals over CAT5e or higher cable Consists of local transmitter and remote receiver units Very easy to install - simply connect the cables No power supply required Supports the following transmission distances and resolutions: 30m @ 1024 x 768 50m @ 800 x 600 Note: This extender is primarily designed for use with CRT monitors. When connecting to TFT or LCD displays we recommend you use Shielded Twisted Pair (STP or FTP) CAT5e UTP CAT5e Solid Core or higher cable. It may also be necessary to reduce the display resolution for optimum picture quality.
