Best DAB clock/radio in the mid-range price bracket
In short, this is a great clock/radio at a very reasonable mid-range price. It is good size - on the smaller rather than larger side so perfect for a bedside table. The screen isn't too bright but is still readable day or night.

Initial setup is a piece of cake, and flicking through stations, setting up to three different alarms and playing with other settings is straightforward.

Sound quality is very good; considering it only has a single speaker it has a lot of depth and range to it. Reception quality is also very good, although of course location is a factor here.

Conclusion: ideal bedside companion to wake you up in the morning and listen with clarity to Chris Moyles or whoever you want!

I would definitely recommend it to other potential buyers out there.

Good sound but a little temperamental....
I've had mine for a few months now. The set up is easy, no probs there. The display is a bit bright for my tastes, BUT the principal flaw would seem to be that every now and again, it cancels its own alarm! Twice this has happened to me - the first time I slept in, but today I was awake, heard it go on and looked at it - and saw it turn the radio off and the display read "alarm cancelled." I've no idea why. I've emailled PURE about it as obviously I have no idea if this is a recurring fault or a faulty machine. It would seem to be an occasional fault (shame because it's an absolutely excellent radio otherwise) but for an alarm clock, a pretty serious one.

PS. Have now had word back from PURE and they say my machine is faulty - so if you have this problem too, get back in touch asap and they'll help you.

Quality Product
Pros
(1). Excellent Radio in DAB and FM mode. Very receptive in my weak signal area.
(2). Sound reproduction very good for small loudspeaker.
(3). Easy to set up.
(4). Style and size make it convenient for small bedside table.
(5). Alarm programs very useful. (6.00 am weekdays, 7.00 am Weekends!).
(6). Useful listed features such as usb upgrades, low power use etc..

Cons
Visibility at night is poor and effect of light sensor control of brightness cannot be over-ridden. However, that may be my poor eyesight!

Generally, a quality radio. Recommended.
