DVD Description
Meet the Griffins: Peter, the big lovable oaf who always says what's on his mind. Lois, the doting mother who can't figure out why her baby son keeps trying to kill her. Their daughter Meg, the teen drama queen who's constantly embarrassed by her family. Chris, the beefy 13-year-old who wouldn't hurt a fly unless it landed on his hot dog. Stewie, the maniacal one-year-old bent on world domination. And Brian, the sarcastic dog with a wit as dry as the martinis he drinks. This freakin' sweet pack contains all of the first six series of Family Guy and all the ingredients for a great night in.

Special Features:

* Family Guy Seasons 1 - 6

* 100 Poker Chips

* 2 Packs of Playing Cards

* 4 Coasters

* 2 Beer Coolers

* 4 Dice

Synopsis
Features the first six series of the riotous animated comedy FAMILY GUY, as well as a poker set. The programme is based around the Griffin family, comprised of bumbling, well-intentioned father Peter; his sweet but oblivious wife Lois; and their teenagers, dim-witted Chris and awkward Meg. The most recognisable characters, however, remain the family's masterminds: evil genius baby Stewie, determined to achieve complete world domination at the age of one, and Brian, an erudite martini-swilling dog, the family's lone voice of reason.

Beautifully Packaged...But where's Stewie's Untold Story...?5
So here we are, a definitive boxset featuring all six series of the excellent series of Family Guy.

First point I have to make, is that as far as I can tell - the Stewie Griffin Untold Story is not part of the boxset. I didn't purchase the boset off Amazon, so I don't know if there are different versions of this boxset.

What the boxset does appear to contain is as previously mentioned, the six series of family guy, and two bonus discs featuring various extras, documenaties and commentaries. It also has four coasters, neat little beer coolers, poker chips, dice and two packs of playing cards and family guy poker chips.

It's a lovingly presented little carry case, with the DVDs themselves packaged in a small box with the DVDS in plastic wallets (a similar kind of thing you might buy for storing music CDS in.) the box can be a little awkward to open, but the DVDS are well protected.

Family guy features the escapades of the dysfunctional family living in Spooner Street, the Griffins. There's beer drinking, TV loving and well intentional but mentally challanged Peter, the father of the family, there's Lois, Peter's wife, and a long suffering wife at that. Then there's the children, Chris, Meg and baby Stewie - a maniacal baby who is intent on world domination, but in later series, his plans for total domination and mudering Lois have been sidelined as he seems to be becoming noticably camper with every passing season. Finally, there's Brian - a martini loving dog, and very intullectual.

Family guy is, to my mind a combination of the Simpsons meets South Park. It's certainly not politically correct, and later seasons try even harder to shock.

For Family Guy fans who haven't got all the series, or are die hard fans, its worth purchasing - but if you have got them already, better wait as there's not much here new for the fans.

Overall though, an excellently presented boset, well put together and for new and old fans alike, well worth putting on the DVD player and laughing like a loon!

Where's the Untold Story?4
If you're buying this you're probably already a fan so I won't harp on about how brilliant the show is. The packaging is great, but where is Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story? Not in my boxset, thats for sure! There's no reason it couldn't have been included in this boxset, and though the cards, poker chips etc are all nice, I would have rather had that extra disc. So if you're buying, it's great, but be aware that the description is wrong and you won't be getting the Untold Story.

Freakin Party Pack - Freakin Waste4
While the episodes are amazing (i have all the individual seasons) these boxsets are only going to be usurped next year when a season 1-7 collection comes out.

Also lots of confusion has arose over the Stewie Griffin Movie not being in the set.

Well, the truth is that the R1 set DOES have the movie, and a bonus disc called ''off the cutting room floor''. Instead, we get Family Guy Uncovered, which was never released in shops and can only be bought in the various series boxsets (1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 1-6).

Also another difference is that the R2 version has poker chips and cards, plus beer coolers and coasters. the R1 version still has the chips and cards, but instead of coasters and the like, it has a ping pong set.

So really, its a choice of either getting the UK one without the movie but with 2 discs of extras, or getting the US one with the movie and only 1 disc of extras, but does have a ping pong set, which is better than some coasters. Also you have to figure in that even with possible customs, the R1 set would only be about £60. You decide.
