	Miracles: The Complete Series [DVD] [2004] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £18.95 Intelligent, heart-felt supernatural series that was unfairly cut short. A real gem.
	Firefly - The Complete Series [DVD] [2003] Buy new: £12.48 / Used from: £12.00 Another show that deserved five seasons and only got half a season. Gritty witty space-western.
	Deadwood: Complete HBO Season 1 [2004] [DVD] Buy new: £10.88 / Used from: £8.00 Violent, profane, brilliantly scripted, wonderfully well acted. A modern classic.
	Twin Peaks: Complete Season 1 [DVD] [1990] Buy new: £17.88 / Used from: £12.99 Ground-breaking drama, complex, innovative and with the power to haunt its viewers' dreams. A must see.
	Carnivale: Complete HBO Season 1 [2003] [DVD] Buy new: £15.88 / Used from: £15.00 Imaginative mixture of The Grapes of Wrath and Twin Peaks.
	Six Feet Under : Complete HBO Season 1 [DVD] Buy new: £12.98 / Used from: £7.05 An excellent first season of this black comedy-upscale HBO soap opera.
	Six Feet Under: Complete HBO Season 2 [DVD] Buy new: £15.88 / Used from: £11.40 S2 is even better than the first season. More of the same excellent writing and acting.
	Six Feet Under: Complete HBO Season 3 [DVD] [2003] Buy new: £15.88 / Used from: £14.50 After a slightly rocky start the third season picks up and becomes as good as the other seasons.
	Six Feet Under: Complete HBO Season 4 [DVD] [2004] Buy new: £15.88 / Used from: £14.19 The fourth season is the same quirky mixture of tragedy and comedy.
	The West Wing - Complete Season 1 [DVD] Buy new: £10.78 / Used from: £7.39 The first season of this political drama is probably the best. Another must-see.
	The West Wing : Complete Season 2 [DVD] Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £8.51 Aaron Sorkin's writing is once again razor sharp throughout this season.
	The West Wing : Complete Season 3 [DVD] Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £5.00 S3 doesn't use its excellent ensemble cast quite as well but still a very good show.

	The West Wing - Complete Season 6 [DVD] [2001] Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £6.50 As with S5, the soaring dialogue is missing but there is still much to enjoy.
	Angels In America (HBO) [2003] [DVD] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.25 Sublime HBO mini-series based on Tony Kushner's prize-winning play.
	Wonderfalls: The Complete Viewer Collection [DVD] [2005] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £59.99 Sweet and quirky short-lived Fox show that deserved a much longer run.
	Profit: The Complete Series 1 [DVD] [1997] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £49.40 Deliciously dark and entirely original. This Richard III in a law firm deserved a far longer run than only nine episodes.
