Synopsis
Classic comedy with one of Steve Martin's breakthrough screen roles. Lawyer Roger Cobb (Martin) is called to the house of ailing millionairess Edwina Cutwater, who has hired a swami to transfer her soul into the body of a younger woman. The process goes wrong and her soul ends up sharing Cobb's body.

Steve Martin's best
The film is superb, mad, ridiculous and played to perfection by its stellar cast and was a perfect vehicle for Steve Martin who rose to the task in a way he has rarely ever done since. One day I hope this will get a proper release with interviews and commentaries and not in television format, because it deserves to have a good release. There are so many rubbish films out there which get the full works, why not this one which I feel was a highlight of the 80s? Even Roxanne, my other favourite film of his, was pretty minimal but treated better.

do yourself a funny favour
This movie is an unexpected treat. I like Steve Martin but - like Bowfinger - this movie is one even non-Martin fans have watched with me an really loved. He and Lily Tomlin are both on top form in this ridiculous but laugh-out-loud movie.

One of the funiest films ever
If you read the blurb on the back of the box you will probably not go any further. But give it a go - it's a real heart warming laugh out loud film.
