A let down3
This book is more or less identical to the first one, it just has new pictures really =/ except her drawings improved a little bit... If you're a complete newb in drawing manga and want to start somewhere then this is a great starter book, though i prefer the first one more. But if you already know how to basically draw manga and need more help in bodies and stuff this book isn't the one for you.

What a shallow book and a total waste of money.2
I hope you're not buying this book with the hopes of actually learning anything in mind..

It seems to me, that because it's the "second book", Katy Coope has gotten the idea, that you don't need any explanations any more.
And even worse, she feels that it's needed to show the reader how to draw accessories, but, at the same time, she realizes how needless this actually is and her descriptions are downright silly.
Now, you're not allowed to quote copyrighted stuff, but the basics of her guide on drawing a zipper is to draw parrallel lines, and adding the teeth, and finally adding the zipper pull. There are no details beyond this.
Wow; now you're a master zipper-craftsman.

Also her fabric section is somewhat ridiculous.
"Hey, you know what makes pants look good? Detail. Bet you needed me to tell you that."
*She shows a drawing of pants with less detail, and pants with more detail."
"See here. These lesser detailed pants do not look very much like pants, because they lack detail.
But check these detailed pants out. They look a LOT more like real pants, because they have more detail. Check out the detail.
And that is my comprehensive guide on how to draw pants...
Did I mention the detail?"

She never stops to think about the fact, that rinkles in clothing is generally very hard to draw in a realistic fashion, especially if you're the target audience for this book.
How the cloth fold when you bend your leg or your arm, or how you can practice drawing folds in clothing has totally slipped her mind.

Basically this guide is a show-off of what Katy Coope can draw, with the most painfully obvious descriptions next the it. How to actually proportion anything, a guide to drawing the things she draws or tips or tricks to do anything at all is NOT included in this so-called "guide".

By all means, do NOT buy this. Cheap as it may be, it's still a blatant waste of money.
