Better for free?3
I started to get into poker firstly by trying the game online, after a while i started to play poker with a few friends which was great fun. I decided to get this game due to the fact i could get some achivements from playing poker. When i first got the game it was fun, being in a fully 3D enviroment made it a bit more interesting that a birds eye view from normal online poker. The achivements are easy to get as you just have to win tornies. But after a while the novelty wore off and what you are left with is a game you feel you have played 1000 times as the game play and avitar actions seem to be same.

The main problem is playing the AI is just not fun, you get no satisfaction from beating someone or winning a hand compared to a live game, this is where online comes in. It is much more fun playing this game online where you can give some banter over the head set and have a good time, but in the end you can get the same gameplay satisfaction form playing the free aplications on the internet as some have started to become 3D, and you can win money!

My final thought on the game is: You can get a decent poker game free online, this s only worth it if you want to practise the game of poker, get achivements or play xbox live, but it does get boresome after a while, unless your a poker maniac and if you are i am sure playing AI will bore you quikly.

Decent poker game3
Fairly decent poker game - career element makes it slightly more interesting than standard poker game. Pity that animations when betting chips not actually linked to the amount that you bet (looks strange when you call $10 with a huge pile of chips - or when you call $1000s with a single chip). Also found the overhead view not particularly great - as can't really see the cards on table that well (there is a mini-display for your hand - but sometimes it's easy to confuse a diamond with a spade - at least I've made that mistake a few times). Still for the price I paid for it, it's a decent enough game... and has improved my poker game..
