Very brief
if your looking for an in depth look into the life of joey massino then this book not of much use, instead it briefly looks at probably the most significante parts of his life. it does skip alot but is still a good book to read.
An interesting insight into a horrid man
This book is a must read for any lover of this genre. It provides an excellent insight into one of the most feared men in modern years. Not to sound like im praising the man, because he was a twisted physco, but he was very clever and had an excellent business mind. This book does a very good job to document Massinos rise and fall in the Bonanno Familly and i highly recomend it.
My one negative is that, like the other reviewer said, it does tend to jump about between past and present, but its easy to get used to.
good but too short not enough detail
Crittle does an excellent job describing the main characters and the different crimes that they committed whilst associated with the bonanno crime family and Joey Massino's crew. Another plus point of the book is the chapter on the rubout of the three captains, Sonny Red, Big Trin and Philly Lucky. However the book was just lacking that something extra that would have made this a great read. Overall though I would reccomend this book to anyone interested in the life of Joey Massino. Also excellent photographs in the centre pages.
