An informative and interesting book
Before reading this book I had a basic knowledge of the troubles in and around 1830 but I found this book particularly informative and interesing. The local references to towns and family names still common in Kent and Sussex added to the sense of relevance. The historic, social and political background which gave rise to the unrest is made clear in an unbiased way. Well worth reading if you are interested in the social history or local history.
