Gorgeous designs, many combining applique
Gorgeous book of contemporay quilt designs. Many combine applique.
I'm new to quilting although not new to sewing and found the instructions clear although think they could have made the fabric requirements a little clearer as the quilt I'm making says using 10" x 12" pieces of fabric of so many colours - I had to buy in meters or yards so wasn't sure of I could buy less in length as the fabric would be wider.
Some great instructions for beginers too on the basics, but it doesn't take up chapters and chapters for those non- beginers.
Beautiful photos
super!
This book was a breath of fresh air! inspiring colour, inspiring quilts!Within a week of receiving the book i had put some of my stash to work and made one of the quilts from this book.My only dilema was which one to pick! After that it was plain sailing as the instructions actually are good to follow and tips on which fabric to cut first actually would have saved me fabric (if i had followed them!).I am allready planning my next project from the book and i am eyeing fabric in a new light!
Delicious
I love this book! The cover photography reflects the contents very well with a lovely selection of bright and breezy quilts. Each quilt comes with a little 'Story' narative, which makes this a nice 'read' as well as a good project book. My only negative comment is that I don't like the hand sketched diagrams and templates, but that's a personal thing, don't let it put you off. All in all a lovely publication.
