The way forward to sit 'n' go success
This is definitely the best book I've read for single table tournaments. The information is given in a clear and concise way and explains every decision you have to face in a sit 'n' go and how to approach it.
I would recommend this book to any level of poker player, it dosen't waste time with things you should already know like hand selection and position, instead it shows you how to use ICM and how to play at different stages of the tournament (like on the bubble and when you're in the money).
But what this book does best of all is to make you think of sit 'n' gos as an entirely different form of poker, and highlights how you should be thinking and playing against the differing styles of your opponents.
I've been playing STTs for about 3 years on full tilt and this book has changed the way I play them. Calling an all-in on the bubble with big slick is sometimes the wrong thing to do for ICM reasons (crazy as it sounds, he's correct)!!
Secrets? What secrets?
This book really tells you nothing you wont already know. It concentrates far too much on ICM and then, when you think you understand ICM, it tells you that ICM is not really worth thinking about until you are playing higher stakes games.
Then it dedicates abaout 100 pages to hand examples featuring ICM tactics. That to me is a waste. You can get ICM calculators that tell you all this for nothing.
My advice, unless you are a complete novice, dont waste your money.
