Customer Reviews

This little book ! ! !5
This is a wonderful little book that provides the reader with excellent ideas that could be used with young children. The book would be very useful for early years teachers, students, support staff and parents. It gives you clear links to the steeping stones & early learning goals which makes it very easy plan activities in an educational environment. The book also explains what resources/equipment you will need, key vocabulary, other ideas/activities and links to stories and songs. I think this is brilliant book which has given me a lot of easy, fun creative ideas that I have used in my classroom.

A useful handbook for anyone working with young children5
Clearly set out with half the book dedicated to ideas for water play and the other half for sand. The ideas are simple ones that practitioners would probably already have thought of (such as 'Washing Day' or 'Dinosaur Land') but they are elaborated on and include lists of equipment needed, vocabulary to be encouraged and ideas for songs and stories to enable the development of ideas.
The Early Learning Goals for the activities are included on each page and is attractively presented in a spiral bound style with drawn illustrations. I can imagine dipping into this at the beginning of each term to inspire my imagination.
