Dont Last Five Mins
I bought my son the interactive train set for christmas,which is great,but the battery operated trains are good for the first day,then break down.Jubilee came with set,and the wheels only go backwards.I purchased bakerloo,Victoria,City.City lasted one day before the wheels stopped turning,and the other two can no longer get up the incline on the train set.The only work on the flat,i have tried brand new batteries in them all,but unfortunately this has no effect.I just dont think that these trains were built to last any length of time

my train works fine
bought my son hammersmith and it works fine, not only that, but it fits (what a coincidence) onto the thomas road and rail track perfectly. i have had no breakdown trouble, and these trains are designed alot more 'user friendly' as far as replacing batteries than thomas trains, which are a massive pain. my son loves ernie characters, although he did his own review of the train, which was (at 3 years old):

1. doors dont open
2. doesnt talk (they talk in the cartoon)

but hey, you cant have everything, can u. hopefully the makers of the trains will take the two suggestions into consideration for next time. for now, this to me is well worth the bit of change to make your kid happy.
