About the Author
Enid Blyton, who died in 1968, is one of the most popular and prolific children's authors of all time. She wrote over seven hundred books, which have been translated into many languages throughout the world. She also found time to write numerous songs, poems, and plays, and ran magazines and clubs.

ENID AT HER BEST
THIS IS A WONDERFUL BOOK FOR YOUNG READERS. MY 8 YEAR OLD SON AND I HAVE BEEN READING IT TOGETHER AND THROUGHLY ENJOYING IT. MY SON PREFERS THIS GROUP OF CHILDREN; PHILIP,DINAH, LUCY ANN AND JACK TO THE FAMOUS FIVE.
This started it all!
Must be going back at least 18 years to when I saw this book in the local library and thought I'd give it a go. I wasn't a reader at all in those days (the books I borrowed were mostly reference) but the cover looked so exciting. Anyhow, started it, read it in one night and couldn't get enough of Blyton afterwards. The start of a wonderful journey for me and a book I really owe my love of reading to.
This is brilliant
This is one of the best books in the Adventure series. The gang gets into even more trouble yet manage to get out of it.I like the way that no matter what they do and how harmless it seems Philip, Dinah Lucy-Ann and Jack always get into an adventure involuntarily.
