Thank God someone is addressing the issue!4
I wasn't expecting much of this book - possibly a few analogies and general anti-atheist incredulity - but what I found was surprising.

The book begins a chapter on 'Who made God' and moves on to some interesting and amusing 'Proofs' of God's existence (e.g. the famous Banana) and goes through the scientific basis for atheism and some of the weaknesses associated with it.

He then moves on to tackle some of the reasons for atheist doubts - e.g. 'Seeing is believing' and evolution. Although I don't agree with his creationist proofs, I found the writing interesting and persuasive even where his arguments get a little stupid.

Moving on through the chapters is where the book starts to get more persuasive and rich in content. Some good points are made against atheism at the start (such as the fact you have to be omniscient to be a true atheist) but it is where Ray begins to get to evangelical flow on the need for God that he is in his element.

After Ray runs through sin, redemption and why atheism doesn't exist, he finishes in a lamenting tone about the state of the U.S. and how, as he puts it "We need those whose concern is only heaven's mandate".

Although the book isn't as good a tour-de-force as the God Delusion, there are some good quotes, analogies and gems in this book to help the anti-atheist evangelist. Ironically, this is best served by the appendix, containing a 'troubleshooting' section to answer common doubts.

Maybe this is why the 'evidence bible' is a better seller. I don't know. However, as a useful anti-atheist tool, you will find few better.
I just hope others will step up to the plate, rather than wallow in fear and insecurity of the straw man that is atheism...
