Satisfaction
This series really makes Pokémon enjoyable, with enough jokes and simple enough to entertain the younger children, while also being hugely satisfying for the inner Pokénut (everyone is one deep inside).

The book follows a young trainer named Hareta, who has spent the prior years living in the forest among the Pokémon, essentially making him one himself. He is then sent to become the Champion by Professor Rowan (his grandfather) along with his assistant Mitsumi.

Highly recommended, containing jokes which will make you laugh (seriously) and a deep story which will keep you hooked.

Also a good starting point for introduction to manga, as the layout and art style matches that of most mangas, while still being the same Pokémon that we all know and love...
