Let's Go Home, Litle Bear is a gentle story that looks at the world through the eyes of a small child as they begin to explore it. The main character is Little Bear who hears all sorts of noises that he's not very sure about but is quickly reassured (and then carried once his legs are tired) by Big Bear.
My 16 month old sits transfixed as we read together about "Plodders" and "Drippers" and other sounds in the wood as Big Bear and Little Bear make their way home together. The beautiful water colour illustrations by Barbara Firth add depth to Waddell's text and altogether make this a book to cuddle up together with and treasure.
