Donny's long awaited return
The new (and much chat show publicised) album from Donny Osmond (Somewhere in time) is a triumph of understatement.
His voice has gained a maturity missing during his heyday and the new version of Puppy Love with just a guitar backing is sublime.I defy anyone NOT to sing along !
The arrangements (thanks to Garry Barlow ex Take That) show he too is a missed talent in a business dominated by Pop Idols, Fame academies and talent(less) shows.
The Osmond brothers reunite for Crazy Horses with the original WAAA WAAA sound effects. Takes you instantly back to all htose late 70's discos...
Just one word for it:
BRILLIANT.
Buy it. You wont be dissapointed I promise.
You won't be sorry!
I have the US version and I was blown away! Donny Osmond at his best as an adult. The "mysterious" 13th track is Crazy Horses" and it is great. For those that are on the fence about this album, listen to it and then, get off the fence. this is fantastic.
Way to go Donny!
Donny! You've still got it, man!
Gorgeous, soulful R&B versions of some of our favourite songs from the past. Never thought I'd hear a better version of Nillsen's 'Without You', but just hear Donny's and you'll know what I mean. Same goes for Earth Wind & Fire's 'After The Love Has Gone' - one of my all time favourite songs and Donny has just made it his own!
Great album, great guy... Looking forward to his forthcoming UK tour in the spring!
