An excelent book for beginers.
I bought this book for my 12 year old son who has started to fish this year. I'm going to have to order another copy as we're already fighting over who gets it first. This book is informative and easy to read, I recomend it to all new commers to fishing, and those who would like to improve thier knowledge.

poor and outdated
I thought this was pitiful, not only is a lot of the information significantly outdated but what there is is thin on detail, there are much better beginners books around than this.

Idiot proof
My husband and i decided we would take up course fishing. He knew a tiny bit and i knew nothing. This book really does as the title suggests, after reading it i feel very confident to get out there and catch me some fishies!i think this is a great book for both newbies and old hands as it has interesting bits you might not have thought of!
