Good resource for Veggies3
This is a Viva booklet for those wanting info for Veggies and Vegans, covering the Lake District. Although not very many pages it does list quite a lot of entries that cover hotels and shops mostly with a useful labelling system for veggie/vegan or dogs etc. It has a handy map and web addresses to. The dissapointments are there are a lot of adverts, listings are basic and on inspection you might find are unsuitable for families as they don't take young children etc. Unfortunately my high hopes dwindled to quite low numbers by the end. Also be warned, they book up a long time in advance as we found.

It would have been nice to get some more local info on the area but I guess it's expected you research that yourself, specifically. there is a small map however to locate entries which was useful.

That said it's a quick reference, most places seem generally cheaper than standard B&Bs in the area and most are generally affordable at say £30 PP, some with award winning or Chef owners etc. If you're going SC I imagine the shop list will be very helpful. I was surprised at the level of Vegginess in the Lakes actually which I assumed was reserved for the campers, up till now. Also has Viva discounts listed.
