This is the book that vegetarians have been waiting and pleading for since Terre a Terre first opened its doors in Brighton way back in 1992. The leader of the pack amongst Britain's vegetarian restaurants for over 18 years, and lavishly garlanded with awards and praise, this is their first cookery book, and what a book it is! Over 100 recipes from the repertoire that has made Terra a Terre the most talked about vegetarian restaurant in Britain are accompanied by sumptuously taste-bud stimulating food photography by award-wining food photographer Lisa Barber. Every vegetarian with a serious love of food, and indeed many carnivores who can recognise a very good thing when they taste it, will find this an indispensable addition to their cookery book collection.

Finally!!
Finally, a vegetarian cookbook that rescues us all from the grim, ratatouille-and-stuffed-mushroom-inspired 'pub' vegetarian food that we all know and hate. This is sophistocated, intelligent cooking that proves vegetarian food can rise above its preconceptions and ensures that you never have to sit there feeling invariably deflated as you stare bleakly at the solitary vegetarian choice on a menu ever again! Gone are the days...great book.
More than just another veggie book!
Every time I look through this book I see something that I want to re-create, it all looks delicious! It is probably helped by the beautiful photography. I am a 'meat eater' but love vegetarian food and the recipes in this book are miles away from the average veggie fare, which is why I like it so much. Each recipe is split up into the components that make up the dish, so you can decide how complicated you want to make it. The recipe called 'It's a Quacker' has a yummy looking Celeriac soup as an element, but I may try the soda bread and wilted sea spinach with duck egg when I have a little more time or when I'm entertaining.
I personally love the way that the authors and owners of Terre a Terre have managed to put a modern twist on bland vegetarian dishes, whilst still allowing you freedom to just try elements of the recipes.
This book is a must buy for keen cooks - vegetarians and meat eaters alike!
Utterly...
Utterly amazing, fantastic, brilliouciouse, yumtastic, the best in the world, gorgeously scumpcheous, superb design, visually wonderouse, mindbogglingly tasty, inspirational, the book we've all been waiting for!!!!!!! You would be mad not to buy it! I have already tried the 'Vodka Cherry Chocolate Churros' and i found them so easy to make with professional results, some of the best doughnuts I've eaten in along time (the vodkas a nice bonus). The only bad point to this book is that goofy guy at the front of the book, i mean he really clashes with whole image of the book, but hey I bet he has lovely children :)
