Value for money and easy to use

User friendly and compact. It did just what I needed, gave me a few basic phrases of practical use on my first trip to Antwerp, making me feel more confident and improving my experience as I was able to ask my way, greet people politely and get food and drink. You can build up your vocabulary gradually and naturally. It gives you an idea of what the words sound like which would not be possible without the CD.

Excellent little phrasebook
I have made a good beginning with the Dutch language, thanks to this little book. My daughter has just married a Dutchman, and I have successfully communicated what I had learned from the book. My 'new' relatives were full of (genuine!) praise, and I am encouraged to venture further with the language. Thanks a million for this little gem of a book, with its unique guide to pronounciation. I hardly made a mistake! Add their equally excellent CD, and Collins have a winner!
