Manufacturer's Description
Creating your own media collection is easy and fast with Lite-On HDD/DVD recorders. Take advantage of the high-capacity hard drive and the intuitive Easy Guider" menu to store and manage your TV recordings, DV footage, music tracks and digital photos in just a few steps.

HDD Video Recording - Forget about the running out of recording space. With the built in 250GB HDD (Hard Disk Drive), you may record up to 330 hours of quality video programs on it.

HDD to Disc Backup - The coexistence of the optical disc drive and the built-in HDD on HD-A760GX doesn't stay for nothing! With it, you can record the camcorder footages onto the built-in HDD all at once. In there, you can utilize all the editing functions to the titles and then save them onto discs respectively to share them with family or friends.

Disc to HDD Copy - The contents on any types of disc by copying them to the built-in HDD, where all the editing functions can be utilized. This not only solves the problem that certain editing functions are only applicable to certain disc types but also is convient given the huge storage space of the HDD.

Timeshift - Advance feature such as "Time Shift", is also featured on HD-A760GX. The "Time Shift" feature allows you to virtually "Freeze" the live TV program while you are temporary interrupted and "Un-Freeze" it to continue viewing the live program.

DV Link - Connect a DV Camcorder to the "DV Link" to easily archive camcorder footages digitally in DVD quality to a DVD recordable disc that lasts. Moreover, the on-screen DV Control panel allows basic commands over the DV camcorder using HD-A760GX's remote control.

DivX® is one of the world's most popular high-compression MPEG-4 video technology, with DivX® files available on PCs and networks worldwide. HD-760GX plays all versions of DivX® video (including DivX®) with standard playback of DivX® media files.

    Good When it Works3
    I would say 5 Stars
    But mine was faulty again.

I purchased this model after i returned my previous unit
    Lite-On LVW-5055GDL (250gb)

What i can tell you that this model is more of a silent runner.
Its much quieter than the Lite-On LVW-5055GDL.

I had a bit of bad luck with my first unit,
    and patience was running thin.

Only to find that this new unit,
which is supposed to be a more refined product that the
    Lite-On LVW-5055GDL Range.
    A Hard Drive Failure

Not a crash, but i was unable to edit my recording.
On my last unit this was send for repair,
    and the HD Replaced.

So i don't have the time to mess around with
    deliveries and repair centres.

Customer Support is Robotic, but understanding.
Send it in and off to Holland it will go.

    Complaints - E-mail Send 3 weeks ago x2
    No reply.

    Summary
It is a great Unit. Better than Lite-On LVW-5055GDL
Runs alot quieter but still only at x4 speed Transfer.
Just unfortunate ive had 2 faulty units From Lite ON.

Enjoy it if you have a working unit,
    it did for a bit.

Overall good -slight disappointment - HD-A760GX4
I bought this product and have used it for for over 2 months - I found it easy to use - Editing is okay.Copy to from HDD to from DVD directly is reasonably easy.Recording from DV tape is is easy - further editing can be done on Hard drivr befor burning onto the DVD.

I have recorded directly on to DVD as well as hard drive and works well. I haven't tried utilising the DivX so cant comment on it.

I said editing was ok rather than brilliant because It is not possible to play a DVD and Record on Hard Drive whilst playing or vice versa - You have to use copy function which will copy a title from DVD to HDD or vice versa - This means I am unable to extract segemnts from DVD video created on my computer - Its copy all or nothing or find another DVD player to record from. ( Ihope this makes sense to you !)

Overall I am reasonably satisfied and hence 4 stars.

    OK when it works2
Had the machine for 3 months. Reading of blank DVD's has become slower and slower, now won't read them at all.Drive sounds like a food processor.
