About the Author
Peter T. Harrison began his musical training as a chorister at King's College Cambridge under the direction of David Willcocks. Subsequently he studied singing with Joy Mammen at the Royal Academy of Music, London, and taught in her place for two years. He was a professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and has given lessons and workshops in many parts of the world. In 1994, at the Third International Congress of Voice Teachers, he was selected as one of seven 'Master Teachers'. Since 2000 Peter Harrison has been Resident Professor and Director of Vocal Studies for the Estúdio de Ópera do Porto, Casa da Música, in Oporto, Portugal. He has been a member of the British Voice Association since its beginnings in 1986.
