The Norfolk coast and the area immediately inland provides endless hidden gems for those who like to get out and explore. From sweeping views along the coastline, to quiet villages with ancient buildings and hedgerows full of wildflowers and wildlife - there is always something of interest to discover.
The aim of this book (one of many in the Halsgrove Discover Series) is to take the reader on a journey of gentle exploration whilst providing an informative and enjoyable range of suggested places to visit along the Norfolk Coast. The coastal region is divided up into convenient 'bite-size chunks' - each with an easy-to-read map. Walks are suggested, along with places that are accessible by car, each linked to a place or places of particular interest. With the many photographs and illustrations included, the reader needs to journey no further than a favourite armchair, while for those who like to get out in the countryside the book will provide hours of pleasurable discovery.
The Authors, all from Norfolk, each with an intimate knowledge of all or part of the Norfolk coast, combine their various skills of photography, mapmaking, writing and interpreting the landscape, to produce a book that will be an invaluable aid to those who live in Norfolk or the many thousands who visit the area each year.
