In 1982, the Griffins left the security of suburbia to grow garlic in West Wales. This is the funny, and sometimes touching, warts-and-all account of what happened four years after their arrival, when the dream had been well and truly dreamt, and they were experiencing some rude awakenings. Did they ever achieve the blissful good life? Are they surrounded by organic veg? How have the family coped with their new rural life? Written with his trademark charm and humour, this looks set to be another compelling romp through the countryside.

And again!!!
I read the first and had to buy this. Again, it is a fantastic read. This book gives more detail on how the Author's mind works and thinks. It too is truely inspiring!
Wooo!
When I got off my flight I had to get this sent to me, another hilarious recounting of tales of a smallholder, well done chas
Fun for the budding "good-lifer"
I bought this for my son, who is trying to make a living from a very small holding, and though I haven't read it from cover to cover I think it will appeal to a committed believer in the benefits of traditional organic methods.
