Synopsis
If you think that UFOs are not real or that only crazy people believe in aliens, think again. This story was originally reported in the Wall Street Journal, then was forgotten. According to numerous eyewitnesses, an unidentified flying object crashed near Varginha, Brazil on January 20, 1996 and at least two beings were reported to have survived. One was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was operated on while the military stood guard. Join Dr. Roger Leir and follow in his footsteps as he takes you through the entire investigative journey. This could well be the most important UFO story to ever come out, and is a must read for anyone interested in the subject.

Brazilian army bags four Et's...
The most sensational Ufo case on record, and the most important! The Varginhna events occurrred on 20th January 1996 in a rural district of Brazil. Several people witnessed the Ets, and two of the Ets are believed to have survived. Dr. Roger Leir deploys his forensic skills to give a detailed account of what happened. One of the deceased aliens was autopsied, Dr Leir includes the testimony of three medical personnel, who it soon transpires, actually attended the procedure, and were badly shaken by the experience. Dr. Leir gives a thorough rendering of his investigations in Varghina from day one, and it appears that doors were opened to his enquiries.
The Ets were not the "greys" assosciated with Roswell, instead they were brown and shiny in appearance, with a reptilian skin type. Their eyes were large, red and bulging. Looking into their eyes apparently induced psychic experiences. Dr Leir gathers more data from a Brazilian investigators who describe the Ets as being "of the Delta type" in other words they are trained beings, similar to Earth's simians though more intelligent, who are used by the Alpha and Beta types to carry out menial tasks. One of the EBEs (Extraterrestrial Biological Entities) is said to have been covered in black fur. Dr. Leir does not mention the Brazilian Didi, an "unknown hominid" that is said to reside in the forests of Brazil, which could provide a more terrestrial explanation for the phenomena.
In comparison to Roswell this is a most convincing case, as the trail of evidence is still warm as opposed to sixty- eight years old. There is no physical evidence as yet of a crashed vehicle, however as Dr Leir points out the US. has teams of people ready at a moments notice to spirit away technolgy that falls from the sky, and there were radar traces which disappeared near Varginha on previous nights. The witnesses to the alien creatures are still alive, barring an unfotunate Brazilian intelligence officer who succumbed to a mystery infection after touching one of the aliens during it's capture. The late Graham Birdsall, editor and owner of Ufo magazine described the Varginha case as "above all others, set to explode."!
Good read.
I would recommend this one, for anyone interested in the X-files'esc genre. It's a fascinating account.
